Bio

I started in graphic and web design at CalSTRS in 2003, producing publications and setting visual standards for other teams. At CalHFA, I owned the intranet end-to-end, from front-end code to content, testing, maintenance, validation, and expansion, making it engaging and informative for staff who relied on it. At CalPERS, I led UX design for the agency’s most complex applications and defined how the UX team worked, reinforcing a practical, team-centered design approach throughout.
I’ve worked as a visual designer, content writer, front-end developer, user researcher, and team methodology lead. Across those roles, I help teams build what’s realistic, meet business needs, and ensure the customer’s voice is heard and respected. This consistent approach has guided my work across roles and teams.
Since going independent, I’ve worked with Caltrans, the Department of Justice, Energy Safety, and CalPERS on public-facing services and internal systems, bringing research, design, usability, accessibility, and visual craft to each engagement. That same throughline has carried into every project.
